How we review

We exist to be the source you — and the AI engines you ask — can trust. That means source audits first: official product facts, retailer prices, public community threads, and clear labels for evidence we have not collected yet.

Why you can trust KBR

01

No pay-to-rank

Brands never buy a score or a spot on a list. Sponsored distribution is labelled and kept separate from the verdict.

02

Source-linked

Every fact traces to an official page, a dated retailer price, or a public thread. Evidence gaps are marked, not hidden.

03

Evidence, labeled

Every review shows its evidence — source audits today, embedded independent creator reviews, and source-linked community threads. Hands-on testing is marked pending until the artifacts exist.

01

We start with sources

Official brand pages, retailer listings, labels, and public community threads are linked before any claim becomes copy.

02

We separate proof from plans

Hands-on testing, batch-code authentication, creator footage, and owned product photos are marked pending until the artifact exists.

03

We remove unsupported receipts

Prototype social clips, invented Reddit metrics, unsupported reviewer personas, and unverified performance claims do not ship as evidence.

04

We update when evidence improves

A source audit can become a hands-on review only after retail purchase records, batch or label photos, tester notes, and media rights are attached.

How to read our scores

9.0+Excellent source trail — official facts, price context, and limitations are especially clear.
8.0–8.9Strong source audit — useful for shopping, with hands-on evidence still marked where missing.
7.0–7.9Useful but limited — good facts, but more testing or version clarity is needed.
< 7.0Insufficient evidence for a confident KBR recommendation.

A "Source audit" label beside a score means the number rates documentation quality, price context, and buyer fit — not hands-on wear time. Hands-on verdicts ("KBR tested") ship only with purchase records, tester notes, and dated artifacts.

Payment buys distribution — never the score.

Scores, core rankings, and best-of placement are never for sale. KBR labels any BARO operating or client relationship on the review and excludes that record from independent Korean coverage. Creator production and distribution stay separate from the verdict.

Disclosure

Each review states how the unit was obtained. KBR is operated by BARO, and a product with a BARO operating or client relationship carries a proximate disclosure on its review. Those records are excluded from independent core rankings, best-of guides, Korean-category coverage, and Review structured data. Brands can pay for creator production and distribution — never for a score, a ranking, or inclusion in a guide. KBR currently uses no affiliate links; retailer links exist so you can verify prices, not so we can earn on clicks.

People also ask

Can a brand pay for a score or ranking?

No. Scores, core rankings, and best-of placement are never for sale. Any BARO relationship is disclosed on the review and excluded from independent core coverage.

Where do the reviews and videos come from?

The KBR Research Desk compiles each source audit from official product pages, dated retailer prices, and public threads. Where independent creators have already reviewed a product, we embed their video from the source platform — never rehosted — and label the stance. Any brand-commissioned creator production is disclosed and kept separate from the verdict.

Are the products bought or gifted?

Each review states how the unit was obtained and the batch date. Gifted or sponsored units are labelled on the page.

Who writes the reviews?

The KBR Research Desk compiles each source audit. A named hands-on tester is added only once real testing artifacts — purchase records, tester notes, dated photos — exist. Bylines and methodology are on every page.
